We are a network of Latin American higher education institutions offering programs based on the German dual education model, through a strategy of strengthening international cooperation links and synergy among its members to contribute to the social development of countries.

We are a network of Latin American higher education institutions certified in the German Dual Model, which contributes to sustainable development through teaching, research, and outreach, led by its members in partnership with the business sector and international cooperation links.
Vision
By 2028, we will be recognized in society for our contributions to development through high-quality dual higher education.
The DHLA concept
The Duale Hochschule Latinoamérica (DHLA) concept is based on the innovative German concept of studying through alternating phases of theory and practice. Students are empowered through their participation in a partner company to put into practice the knowledge they have learned during the theoretical phase. In general, students study for three years, alternating between the facilities of Latin American universities and partner companies, in order to obtain a comprehensive understanding of both theory and practice.
AHK Colombia – German-Colombian Chamber of Industry and Commerce
With the participation of the German-Colombian Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the support of German International Cooperation (GIZ), the Dual University System – Duale Hochschule Latinoamérica was established in Latin America, offering dual training for higher education institutions.
Strategic Objectives
Posicionar la marca “Duale Hochschule Latinoamérica – DHLA Modelo Dual
Alemán”, fortalecer el trabajo en red, integrar a otras IES de la región y estrechar los
vínculos con la comunidad empresarial, consolidando la oferta de programas duales
que respondan a las necesidades del entorno, con el fin de ampliar la cobertura y el
número de estudiantes y empresas formadoras, la sostenibilidad y el impacto social.
Mantener los estándares de calidad con base en la ISO
9001:2015, actualizar de manera continua el Sistema de Gestión de Calidad para
consolidar la medición y seguimiento, asegurando el posicionamiento del Modelo de
Educación Superior Dual Alemán en Latinoamérica y su aporte al desarrollo sostenible
en los países representados.
Fortalecer la Internacionalización y Proyección Social, así
como la sinergia de sus miembros y alianzas para consolidar la Red DHLA y aportar al
logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible -ODS-
