IX International Symposium “Sustainability and Green Jobs”.

This year, the IX International Symposium “Sustainability and Green Jobs” focused on a crucial theme: “Green Jobs”. In a world increasingly aware of the need to preserve our planet, this event brought together five countries, Germany and four Latin American nations (Colombia, Ecuador, Brazil and Mexico) that offer the German Dual Model.

The purpose of this edition of the symposium was to reflect on how, through the implementation of the German dual model, we could contribute to the restoration of the environment through traditional economic activities. Focusing on jobs that would increase energy efficiency, efficiency in the use of raw materials and the transition to sustainable energy sources. The event explored how each of these jobs can reduce their carbon footprint and mitigate greenhouse taxation.

Reflection focused on how “Green Jobs” could help reduce the generation of waste and residues, as well as the management of those that are pollutants, in order to avoid negative impacts on ecosystems. The objective was to offer jobs that are aware of the impact they generate on the activity of the company.
