Last Friday, October 13, the University of Cuenca received its students with a memorable welcome event that marked the beginning of the Classroom Phase of the academic period September 2023 – February 2024. Under the slogan “LET’S GO TO THE U-WE ARE THE DUAL”, this day was highlighted by its enriching content and exciting awards to students and entrepreneurial projects. One of the main attractions of the event was the special participation of Master Javier Guillén, from the University of Guadalajara (UNID), who gave a presentation via Zoom. Attendees enjoyed an enriching talk in which he addressed important academic topics and provided a valuable perspective for the professional development of students. In addition, the university community had the pleasure of having the experience of an outstanding alumnus of the University of Cuenca, Marcelo Palacios. During his talk, Marcelo shared his experiences and achievements since his graduation, inspiring current students with his exemplary trajectory. Also, one of the memorable moments of the event was the presentation of awards to the five most outstanding business projects, selected in the pilot plan of the Dual competition “Your Best Business Project 2023”. These projects arose within the framework of the core subject “Strategic Marketing”, taught by María Esthela Saquicela Aguilar. The students demonstrated exceptional commitment and creativity.
The students awarded with the recognition of the Academic Committee of the Dual Business Administration Career were the following:
Paola Matute, Flavia Aguilar and Daniel Soto, Mateo Merchán, Juan Fernando Delgado and Josué Quezada.
The recognition of these brilliant students reaffirms the commitment of the University of Cuenca with the formation of future business leaders and the promotion of innovation in the academic field of the dual model.
From the DHLA Network we congratulate the University of Cuenca for this successful welcome to the Classroom Phase and we look forward to the development of the academic period September 2023 – February 2024 to continue being successful for the dual community. Likewise, we extend our congratulations to all students, faculty and staff involved in the organization of this event and thank the special guests who contributed to make it possible. We continue to reaffirm our ongoing commitment to academic excellence and innovation through the implementation of the dual model.
